About Ms. Ferguson
I am originally from Syracuse, NY where I graduated from Le Moyne College in 2007. I have a BA in English Literature. My areas of certification are in both elementary and special education in New York State and Delaware. This 2008-2009 school year marks my second year as a teacher at Carrie Downie and I am proud to be a part of the Dolphin family!
Some of my favorite things to do include reading, writing, playing volleyball, and singing. I have a 3 year old daughter named Ceili (pronouced kay-lee). She is the inspiration behind almost everything that do. She loves to learn and she teaches me new things everyday. I am engaged to be married at the end of this school year!
Being a teacher means a lot to me. I worked very hard to make it to this chapter of my life. I see our students as not only the future, but the present of our world. They will shape our future. Their successes and futures are of the uttmost importance. Seeing the growth that occurs from day one to the very last day of school is one of the most rewarding things in a teacher’s life. I am excited to work with all of your children this school year!
